Since 1982 The Mountain Goat in Williamstown has been the area's premier outdoor specialty shop. In 1999 John Bryan and Jay Merselis, lifelong residents of the area and avid outdoorsmen, bought the Goat. In 2008, John decided to pursue a new career and jay became the sole owner. With the help and support of a dedicated and educated staff, The Mountain Goat continues to be a destination. Directions

From Boston/East:
Take the Mass Pike to exit 2 - route 20/ 7 North, follow signs to Route 7 North Williamstown - through Pittsfield, at the 5 Corners Intersection take a right on route 43, follow 3.5 miles. We are located on the right, across from the Waterstreet Grill.

From Route 2:
Take Route 2 West into Williamstown, after the set of lights take a left onto route 43 (Water Street), go about a half mile, we are on the left, across from the Waterstreet Grill.
